Walkera presents world's first 6-Axis gyro helicopter -- the Genius CP. Walker has been putting effort on scaling down big helicopters and makes micro helicopters doing something suppose can only be done by big helicopters. Many factories also tried but Walkera is the rare one who can maintain the great mechanism and design, as well as good craftmanship, to keep the structure in a palm size helicopter. Walkera has done it again, after presenting the 3-axis gyro, this time comes the 6-Axis gyro flybarless helicopter, and it is in just...palm size!


What is flybarless system?

Paddles are doubtless an important component in RC helicopters for a long time, it the aircraft stable. Recently, 6-Axis Gyroscope has been introduced to RC helicopters and this is how Flybarless System has born. The NEW Flybarless System takes away the paddles and flybar, leaving the stabilizing job completely to the high tech 3D Gyroscope. Proven by Helicopter World Champion, result is 100% positive. Without the weight of the flybar and paddles, the helicopter now moves in higher speed, and saves almost 30% energy. Also, less parts means less repair and maintenance!



6-Axis Gyro works with the flybarless system, this technology helps Walkera to produce such multi-blade helicopter. As multi-blade helicopters usually don't have a flybar to balance, the 3 axis gyro covers this and the technology monitors the helicopter movement. It is well applied for the helicopter to fly, and not even "just fly around", but able to perform 3D aerobatic movements. The on-broad all in one controller is amazing, it acts like a Co-Pilot to stabilize the helicopter.

What exactly a 6-Axis Gyro do?

A 6-axis gyro measures all six component of force and torque, thet are vertcial, lateral, logitudinal forces, camber and steer. When the heli body leaning forward / backward, body rolling left / right, tail drifting CW / CWW, it will constantly monitoring any off-balance in all directions, then it will give signals to all CCPM servos and Rudder servo to balance the helicopter, it works constantly and unless you have the helicopter drifts too much, you will not even notice the system exists. In short, it gets control from you and prevents the helicopter from drifting. The following diagram will simply tell you more on how it works.




Simple layout of the helicopter body with light weight elastic material cuts down much from weight. Light weight is important for a palm size heli, it helps a heli of such size to "survive" from crashes. When compared to same body frame makes of metal, it may have bent upon crashes. This Genius is totally new that you can hardly find some parts looks familiar! Especially for the new 6-axis gyro and the new zero friction motor.
